Congratulations

Congratulations to all my students on passing all their exams last year, especially to my senior students, Charlotte Rudd, Janey Howden, Holly Hill and Kirstin Yee on passing their Advanced 1 exam. Also Brittany Ackland, Zoe Benzie, Charlette Leffelaar, Ariana Painter and Poppy Peate-Garratt for passing their Intermediate exam. Well done to all.

Update on Kase Craig

At the end of my recent trip to the UK I visited Kase in Bordeaux and had a wonderful time with him. I spent a whole day watching his company class and rehearsals. They were rehearsing a contemporary piece by Jiri Kyrian and Romeo and Juliet for their upcoming performances. I was taken back in time as I remembered dancing some of Jiri Kyrian's pieces myself during my career. Kase and I went to the performance of the opera Carmen in the National Theatre de Bordeaux which was enthralling with their beautiful voices. I really enjoyed meeting his fellow company dancers, ballet master and director.

Update on Sacha Copeland

As you know my former student Sacha now has her own Java Dance company in Wellington. She is also guest teacher with the Wellington School of Dance and her choreographies are well recognised throughout New Zealand. Her style is unique, theatrical and cutting-edge. Her 2010 Christchurch show was performed on moving buses which stopped at various houses and galleries. Well done Sacha! Enjoyed by all.
